The name refers to the blood of Tsar Alexander II of Russia, who was assassinated on that site in 1881.

What is this object behind the trees?

Oh, this is the legendary cruiser Aurora. It’s time to read Wikipedia again.

en Aurora is a Russian protected cruiser, currently preserved as a museum ship in St. Petersburg. She battled the Japanese Navy in the Russo-Japanese War. One of the first incidents of the Communist Revolution in Russia happened on the cruiser Aurora.

esp El Aurora es un crucero protegido Ruso, actualmente conservado como buque museo en San Petersburgo. Participó en combate en la Guerra Ruso-Japonesa. Uno de los primeros incidentes de la revolución de octubre ocurrió en este buque.

Something

To be honest, nothing comes to mind as an accompanying text for this photo. Do you have any versions?

Perhaps just the night, the embankment of the Neva River and glowing Chaplin

Marble Palace is one of the first Neoclassical palaces in Saint Petersburg, Russia. It is situated between the Field of Mars and Palace Quay, slightly to the east from Winter Palace.

The palace was built by Count Grigory Orlov, the favorite of Empress Catherine the Great and the most powerful Russian nobleman of the 1760s.

Opposite the palace (on photo) – Monument to Suvorov.

Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov (1729 – 18 May, 1800), was the fourth and last generalissimo of the Russian Empire.

Wikipedia told me, that Saint Isaac’s Cathedral or Isaakievskiy Sobor in Saint Petersburg, Russia is the largest Russian Orthodox cathedral (sobor) in the city and was the tallest Eastern Orthodox church upon its completion (subsequently surpassed only by the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour ).

Saint Isaac’s Cathedral is still the third largest domed cathedral in the world.
